November 2013 Madelyn's 4th Birthday - Candy Land

Madelyn's 4th Birthday party was here at our home!  It was probably my most favorite party to plan and the possibilities were endless (if only money were endless) :)
I made everything from the Gum Drop kabobs to the cupcakes and the gum drop tree. We had candy bowls filled with gumballs, gummie bears and peppermints.  I made dipped waffle cones for the chocolate mountains and marshmallow pops as well as cookie pops. We made a candy land walkway throughout our living room!  Madelyn LOVED her party!

Disney World May 2013

We completely surprised the kids with this trip.  We packed their bags without them knowing and picked them up at 9:15 from school and when they got in the car they had gift cards in gift bags for Disney World!  What an exciting day and trip for us all.  We all agree that it is the BEST vacation to ever take!  This was our 3rd trip there and we can't wait to go back! SOON...

Summer to New Years Eve 2013! WHERES THE UPDATES???

It's been a LONG while since I have updated my blog!  We had an amazing 2013 complete with Disney World right after Mason's May birthday party.  We hung around town for the summer and then the kids started school at the end of August.  Even Madelyn.  Her first year of preschool.  She loves her teacher at Oak Tree Academy, Mrs. Kelly.  Mason has had a wonderful 4th grade year and our sweet Mallory is in 5th grade!  Brings tears to my eyes!!  I will post some pictures of Disney, Back to School, both the girls Birthday Parties and Christmas and whatever else I come across in the next few days!  2014 is off to a good start as the first month of it flew by before we knew it!  Maybe in 2014 my blog updates won't stop in May! :)

Mason's 9th Birthday

Mason celebrated his 9th Birthday here at home with about 10 boys and a sleepover!!!  Crazy to have 10 boys in our home for a sleepover, I know, but guess what??? They were so good!!!!  Only about 7 ended up spending the night.  The theme Mason chose was Angry Birds which was so easy becuase Angry Bird stuff is everywhere right now.  The boys ate pizza, Dairy Queen Oreo Blizzard Icecream Cake and lots of snacky foods chosen by Mason.  We walked to the park, they jumped on the trampoline, played xbox and I even made up a treasure hunt for them, which they all seemed to enjoy.  I know I say this every year, but it's so hard to believe my little man is 9!!  NINE!!!! And now that summer is here, he's going into 4th grade!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY, MASON!!!!  And MANY MANY MORE!!!  WE LOVE YOU!!!

Time For An Update....

Well... I haven't updated in FOREVER!!!  This is just a post about what's been going on in our household with no pictures!!!  I'm staying soooo busy most days and I think that's why I haven't had time to update my blog.  Everything is good here at our house.

Mallory has been enjoying 4th Grade, it's hard to believe in 4 weeks she will be a 5th grader.  Saddens my heart, but also has me excited about what her future holds.  She loves Cheer/Tumbling at Gym Tyler.  She is on her 2nd year there and has finally FINALLY achieved her running round off and now her back hand spring.  I am so proud of her!  She's maturing so fast. Jason and I just had a conversation the other day about how much she is growing up.  She can be so helpful with her baby sister and I'm even thinking she's growing up enough to maybe even babysit her sister for short periods of time for us.  That excites me!!!  And makes me a little nervous!!

Mason is making great grades in school.  He's still our class clown which makes for some frustrating times, but it's just who he is and I wouldn't want him any other way!!  He's finishing up 3rd grade and this summer is starting Tyler Swim so that he can get into the competitive side of swimming.  He's an excellent swimmer and he's super excited about starting this.  He was doing so well in Karate/Martial Arts, but after a year of it and his coach leaving Tyler we never could find the right gym for him to continue which was a huge disappointment for Mason and us, but now that Competitive Swim is on the horizon he's excited!!

Little Madelyn, is 3 1/2.  Talking up a storm, into everything (but not as bad as some toddlers) and she's super duper sweet!!!  She is starting Oak Tree Academy Preschool in the Fall and tells everyone and asks everyday if she can go to school now.  We put Mal and Mason into Oak Tree the year before kindergarten but we decided to start her 2 years before kindergarten because she is so much lonelier than they were because they had each other and from 8 to 3 she's an only child :(

Jason and I are coming up on a 14 year Anniversary this summer!!  Time flies when you are having fun!!!!
