Blueberry Farm & The Fruits of Our Labor
This past Thursday my Nana and I took the kids to Echo Springs Blueberry Farm in Brownsboro. The kids were super excited to go, Mason more than Mallory, but once we got there it was Mallory that enjoyed picking the blueberries the most. Mason was done about 20 minutes into it. It would have taken half a day in the Texas heat to fill an entire bucket so with all our buckets combined we came home with about 3/4 of a gallon bucket. So besides eating the bluberries I've been digging through recipes to find ways to use up all these blueberries. I started today by making some Blueberry Cheesecake Muffins!! They were so YUMMY! Next up... Homemade Blueberry Pie! We have been enjoying our summer. Trying to plan something fun and out of the ordinary at least once a week!
On a side note: I lost 0.2 pounds this week! Guess it was something, right??!! 11.6 total loss!

The Scale Is Moving Again!!!
I haven't posted any weight loss results in a couple of weeks because I had hit some sort of plateau and the scale wasn't budging!!! Well, I am so excited that it has finally moved and I am down 2 more pounds since my last post. Grand total weight loss is now at 10.2 pounds!! I still have a ways to go, but hopefully I can begin reporting steady weight loss each week again!!!

Mason's 7th Birthday...
It's amazing how the coldest/windiest day in May complete with pink eye can still be the perfect day for a child!! Mason turns 7 this Monday, May 16th, so he had his birthday party on Saturday. It was at Brookshires Park and he wanted a Star Wars Clone Wars theme. We all got ready to go dressed in our summer best, stopped by to get the balloons and headed for the park. (Mason let out a big "WOO HOO, IT'S MY BIRTHDAY PARTY" when we arrived at the park) We get there and it's freezing. Well 57 degrees, but the wind was gusting 20 to 30 mph. So it felt like 30 degrees, especially in our summer clothes. Jason and I set it all up, taping down the table cloths and balloons the best we could. Meanwhile, Madelyn's toes were turning purple, she was so cold!! At 10:00 the friends and family started to arrive, some were as crazy as us in their summer clothes, but others were a bit wiser and dressed for the occassion. (Keep in mind the sun was suppose to be shining and it wasn't). Mason complained only a little bit about being cold, but for the most part enjoyed his special hour and a half at the park. He was even a good sport when he didn't get to blow out candles when we sang Happy Birthday becuase the wind was too strong to light them. He got tons of toys, great clothes, money and gift cards!! After the party, the cousins came back to the house for a fun afternoon on the trampoline and thanks to Aunt Amber he got to blow candles out because she bought a little ice cream cake. We sang Happy Birthday again and he was all smiles as he blew them out!!
HAPPY BIRTHDAY, SWEET MASON!!!
HAPPY BIRTHDAY, SWEET MASON!!!
Madelyn's First Haircut!!
Well it was more like a 1/8 of an inch trim, but she did surprisingly good! Mallory and Mason did wonderful when they had their first haircut, but Madelyn is a different personality. She is so timid around strangers and typically flips out, but she sat there so big, just looking around. BIG GIRL!!!!
